i'm not really miserable...just not really a big crowd type of person. plus, i'm a frequent sleepwalker, and back when i was younger, heavy drinking made it worse. i usually limit myself to just a few beers/drinks, then lock myself in my hotel room.

I remember after the FIRST Gulf War when the troops came back to Ft.Riley they had a FREE concert on post and Joe Walsh was the main attraction.

The dude rocked out as far as I can remember but he was so WASTED that he kept forgetting words to his songs.

This would have been back in 1991 around August IIRC. For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the band that played with him as the warm up?

I've seen them three times - they put on a great show. Their performances during the Hell Freezes Over tour back in the 90s was the best concert I ever saw.

If you can handle being surrounded by drunken concert idiots who will bellow out the words to every song, you should go. But be prepared for that. It annoyed the **** out of me last time I saw them.

Exactly... that and ticket prices for Hell Freezes Over....

why I like remembering the shows when they were in their prime (IMO)

but If you haven't seen them ... kinda now or never......
