eagles?
so, i'm going to a meeting today and tomorrow in booneville at the casino.
another guy i'm meeting down there has tickets to the eagles tonight in columbia. want's me to go w/him.

i wouldn't mind the concert. i just don't like the crowds. especially on st. patricks day/night.

i actually planned on a few beers, supper, then retire to my room w/a bottle of crown and a can of 7up.

i know if i go to the concert, i'll drink too much. then when i get back to the casino, i'll drink more. of course, someone will start buying rounds of shots, and i will partake. then tomorrow morning, i'll sit in the meeting, holding my head in my hands, with my asshole burning like a corncobbed cat.

the wife says i should go. i need to make up my mind.

i went.
i saw.
i bought the t-shirt.
great show...worth the price of the ticket.
the highlight for me wasn't even an eagles song...joe walsh. life's been good.

I wish I had been able to go tonight....did they do all of their older stuff like Hotel California, I Can't Tell You Why, One of These Nights, Desperado, Lyin' Eyes, etc....?????

only semi old song.
If they aren't doing 1st-3rd LP songs it's not old stuff. got lost after that or commercial records took over.

Joe Walsh... would have been worth it for old stuff too with James Gang.

again revisionist approach that maybe wouldn't sell to younger crowd.

Glad you went.

Ironically, I thought the best two songs they did off Hell Freezes Over weren't Eagles songs, either. They did acoustic versions of Henley Heart of the Matter and Walsh's Help Me Through the Night that were simply amazing.

they played about an hour and a half. a few off they're latest album.(since i use the term "album" i guess i'm old)

took a 20-25 minute break.

came back a played for another 2 hours. started it off w/all of them sitting w/accoustic(sp) guitars. then just started mixing it all up.

like i said before, the music was great. the overall show was great.
