In R1 - Merriman, Ryan, Willis, Ware... really? I get that they're young and great, but I don't that I would have taken those guys.

In R2 - just way too many DEF guys to me.

In R3 - Flacco? Greg Jennings... Pennington, Porter?

I supposed you all have some rhyme or reason as to how you're creating the teams, but some of those picks just seem a bit out of place for so early in the draft.
Well to defend my two picks, Jon Beason and Greg Jennings...

On beason, I was actually in line to take Justin Tuck but I missed the pick and had to make it up later but I think Beason has great versatility and range and is the best young MLB behind Willis

and Jennings is a YAC and TD machine and considering I plan to run a WCO then he fits perfectly...

also I want a young team and Beason, Thomas, and Jennings fit that bill to a tee

I get that there are probably some better QB's, but I'm building long term. If Ryan performs like that in his first season I'm inclined to believe he'll be every bit as good as the top guys a few years down the road. and he'll play 10 years longer than the guy that was taken #1. Ware was definitely a good pick, a pass rush like that will make almost any servicable defense look great.

Taking an RB early, outside of maybe Purple Jesus and DeAngelo (homer that I am), is baffling to me. If this were fantasy football, sure, but solid RBs are a dime a dozen.

I don't know about that, Turner is still young with not a lot of tread on his tires and has a great combo of speed and pure ability to break tackle and Chris Johnson (albiet behind a good line) ran rough-shot last year and might be one of the best pure runners in the league...after those first 5 or 6 though you can start waiting on some guys but there are some guy here in the mid-4th that I am still surprised are availible

I'll gladly take Stephen Jackson...who has really no one to split carries with...and is a receiving threat as well.

agree pennington and porter were a bit questionable, to add a bit...: too many old players(how many years is walter jones going to play?), the rb's went too early, forte, vilma, romo > eli/cutler, but i'm fine with the flacco pick. he had a near roethlisberger-esque rookie season and is solid value for such a young player in the third.

It wasn't the initial plan to eschew the QB position, but when I drew the #17 spot and was looking at taking the 7th-best QB with my #1 pick, it was kind of depressing. So I decided to get a couple of pass rushers and kill the other team's QBs. Now with a great DE and OLB and CB, we will become the Great Wall of Bradenton.

I was hoping that Roethlisberger or Rivers would fall to me in the 1st, but they didn't, and then thought I had a good shot at Palmer in the 3rd, but ... nope. Then I thought maybe I could get McNabb later, but that didn't work either. So I'm going to get a good QB coach and I think I can win with ... whoever the 49ers quarterback is. Yeah, that guy.

So rockio, you're up. Time to solidify that right guard position.

With the 13th pick of the 4th round the St. Louis Stallions select FS LaRon Landry

- I feel the Stallions have three great pieces with Thomas, Beason, and Jennings and Landry goes along with the hard-hitting attitude and youth that I am looking for throughout this team. Landry is one of the best safeties to come out (except for maybe Sean Taylor) in the last 5 to 10 years and will be the cornerstone of the secondary and should be able to run rough-shot around ball-hawking and hitting anything and everything he sees

Just a few questions, are we going to be taking into account situation guys (nickel CBs, 3rd-down DEs, RBBC's, etc.) depending on who we draft and what our system will be (a guy with Steven Jackson or Adrian Peterson might not use a RBBC or a guy with a combo of Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis won't use a 3rd-down rush specilist) just a few questions...
