That's a good question. Unless someone proposes better logic, I would say that it's the roster at the moment you drafted them.

So Ndukwe and the other guy are on no one's roster this year. In fact they are unobtainable.

Conversely if TBD had taken the Dolphins and Pestilence had take the Chiefs those players would be on both teams. Or do you wish to modify your proposal to include a stipulation that the players are frozen once they are assigned to an AR team?

Oh....and which rosters is everyone going by? I'm using the NFL.com roster but I just wanted to check.

And since I chose the Dolphins....I'm going to assume that they aren't on there because they had already been traded at that point. Once I chose the Dolphins.....the roster is locked. So any cuts or trades after that don't count.

One more thing.

If you're finding it to be a tedious task to go through and see if someone from your remainder roster has been drafted already......go to this thread and search. It's a lot easier to pick through 21 posts then it is 3000.

I might make a software tool to automatically generate the lists. Probably not until this weekend though.

Right. If they're on your roster at the instant of drafting, they're yours, even if they get traded the next day.

My god. Some players might get cloned, and others get lost in the swirling mists of time.

How about this: once a remainder team is chosen, the player gets that roster as it stands at that point. No new players will be added or subtracted once the roster is frozen, and those players are owned and cannot be traded to another team.

Does that work? I think that works.

And yeah, we should use the nfl.com rosters.

Yes.

I was actually worried about that with regard to the Titans, because I was considering them but unsure about the status of their backup punter who may or may not make the team.

Hell, I'll go with what I currently have and call it good. I don't think it's really going to matter that much.
