If the Chiefs do not spend the salary floor, they can be penalized draft picks.

So, they can take the full hit from trading Dorsey and that probably puts them over the minimum.... and takes the pressure off of them trying to figure out how to spend the minimum extending the players they already have.

So, am I reaching here, or do you think it might play into it?

I think they go ahead and resign Cassel for 12 years and 450 million-that way they can put more off the street scrubs out there and stay away from the floor-lol
