That would be OK (but you are going to piss off a bunch of people by suggesting a loss may help the cause ). My preference would be build for the future, and take Clausen who went one pick later to Washington. The write up on Clausen compairs him to Aaron Rodgers. I could live with that big time. Let him learn for a year or two behind Capitan Checkdown, and then take over for the next 12 to 15 years.

This I like, except, jack Stuckey. We don't need a Safety in the 3rd, we'll need a good OL.

if we don't get berry, then a get a playmaker....spiller in that case absolutely (yes, it violates pretty much every theory of the draft espoused on this board for years)...if we could trade down 5 spots or so (yes, magically) then McClain would be fine by me too...

or any QB anywhere...if by any you mean clausen or canfield...

You can trade down from 5 to get CJ Spiller - how far, I don't know. But, I agree with your thoughts here.

My bad. He is 6th in the NFLDraftCountdown Mock. Shouldn't have mixed my mocks in the same thread.

If we're drafting 5/6, and Berry and Mays are both off the board, McClain is the one guy I wouldn't be upset to reach a bit for.

Honestly, I don't really think it's much of a reach, he's going to go Top 10, (or damn close) IMO.

Do you think Alexander falls all the way to the 6th? Also, I really believe we need to address the OL in the 1st 4 picks to get someone who can be SOLID in yr 1. jmho
