there were draft people all over talking about us picking Tyson Jackson the final days coming up to the draft. It got leaked somewhere.

#5 Kansas City: They were rightfully criticized for taking Tyson Jackson at #3 last year. I hesitate to pass too much judgment on the move after just his rookie season, and in a way they are bailed out if Suh and McCoy are off the board. Their defensive line, a focus for GM Scott Pioli, is still a mess and throwing another high pick at the problem makes little sense. The back end of their defense is also in rough shape. There is no question about their need for a playmaking safety.

They thought Mike Brown would be a nice veteran addition, something Pioli made a living doing with the Patriots. Brown was derailed by injuries during his years with the Bears and apparently forgot how to play when he joined the Chiefs. DaJuan Morgan, a third round pick by the previous regime in 2008, has not developed. This only scratches the surface of their issues at the position. Berry could be a rare player at his position going this high. It would be the highest since another Eric (Turner) went #2 to the Browns in 1991: S Eric Berry (Tennessee)
