The guys who will have a place on a playoff team:

DE:

Dorsey
Jackson
Magee
Gilberry (as your 5th DE only. Probably shouldn't suit up)

NT:

None. Edwards is too old. We need two NTs at some point

ILB:

We have the backups. We don't have the starters, and we can't trust DJ at this point. We need anywhere from 1-2 ILBs and they must be starting caliber.

OLB: We need two guys. You need at least three pass rushers. We have one.

S: Depends on Morgan. Page is a fringe player. We need a starting FS and SS

CB: We need another CB. Could range from a DB to LCB

We need a return man

LT: We're good here
G: We have one guard on this roster. We need at least two more (and that's not counting Waters' replacement).
C: We need two
RT: We need at least one

Richardson could be our swing tackle.

WR 3
WR 4

Chambers gets you by for two years, max.

We need two QBs. Both a quality starter and a durable backup.

We need a RB 2.

We have at least 20 holes that need to be addressed over the next two years.

I don't think the number is that high, but if we have a good draft and add a couple younger FA's...we'd be well on our way.

Which means you HAVE to be active in FA, because Pioli would otherwise have to hit on EVERY PICK for the next three years.

Yeah, I laughed too.

I said at the beginning of FA, I'm targeting:

Atogwe
Ryan Clark
Dunta Robinson
Dwan Edwards
Mike Bell

Even if we were to sign Atogwe, Edwards, and Bell, only one of those three would start, but all would play a significant role.

Good thing no one's arguing against Free Agency.

With a name like LeKevin, you know that surrendor is inevitable.

So, hey, he's a perfect fit.

You're not really going to commit to the idea that Kevin Walter would've been a better signing than simply re-signing Chambers are you?

Oh and you left Thomas Jones off that list...
But surely that was unintentional.

Yeah, it would suck to have signed a WR that is three years younger and has actually produced on a consistent basis.

I can't believe anyone thinks a 31 year old WR that hasn't produced in over 5 years is the answer.

But hey, to each their own.

What's wrong with signing both?
You see, I am not talking about signing specific players.

I am talking about filing holes with every means at your disposal so that when the drfat does arrive, we don't have to target so many specific positions.

I would've taken one or the other, but not both.
I want a young WR come April.

Which I'm fine with, but I don't want the FO looking away from WR in the Draft because we signed Kevin Walter.
