The hours they put in are far more than most 40hr/week jobs.

Not to mention that most coaches have to "pay their dues" starting off as scouts and errand boys etc, before getting hired for the bigger jobs like position coaches/coord etc.

Granted, and I agree, it's just a game. But a lot of these coaches hardly get to spend any time w/ family etc.
