Jarrad Page requests a trade

Jarrad Page requests a trade from the Chiefs

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on June 18, 2010 7:45 PM ET
We tried to figure out earlier this week exactly what was going on with unsigned Chiefs restricted free agent safety Jarrad Page.

Now we have a better idea.

In a press release sent to PFT Friday night, Page's representation said they submitted a "formal trade request" to the Chiefs on Thursday. The release notes that "Entering the 2009 season, Jarrad Page had more interceptions than any other safety selected in the 2006 draft class. Page is entering his fifth NFL season."

Page has started 39 games in four seasons and produced plenty, but it's hard to believe he would inspire much of a trade market, if any, coming off a disappointing year.

How does this comment have anything to do with anything? Nobody in this thread is acting that way. And no Donk fan can honestly say he feels that way without lying to himself.

Just using some of the stuff I heard here last year about the Broncos.

He will most likely stick around until the season starts. No team will trade for him in my opnion, but you never know teams do stupid shit all the time.

Yes.

Only:

- Page is one backup FS, not an entire starting offensive trio among KC's best players

- Page is easily replaceable

- It won't cost 2 first rounders spent after the fact on the position they're losing

- No Chiefs fans will give a shit whether or not Page is traded

Other than that, it's a good comparison.

Why don't we see if Shanahan's interested? Washington's been hitting the NFL trashcans pretty regular this offseason...
