He had a shitty game but I wouldn't give up on him just yet.

It's going to be VERY interesting to see what Cutler does now that he doesn't have Mike Shanahan around. There's no question it helped him.
Oh hey...smart guy here.

I am more glad today that the Bucs didn't trade for him and even more glad the Bucs moved up in front of Denver to take Freeman.

He has zero support from the run game because Martz refuses to run.

Yeah, it tends to stand out because we don't go around bumping threads in which the rest of you look reeruned.

Do I really need to bump the threads in which 90% of this board wanted no part of Cassel, then flip-flopped within hours of acquiring him?

Or the draft threads, where Dexter McCluster wasn't mentioned for 4 months, then we take him, this place explodes, then flip-flops and says it's a good pick?

I'd rather be known as someone who makes his opinion known and misses on occasion than someone that flip-flops.

It's not as simple as that, Tim.

They CAN'T run. That OL is horrible.

I know the rest of the board hates him, but I'd like to see one season out of Cutler where he's not expected to be the entire offense. It's been the case in both Denver and now Chicago.

Sure their O line sucks. But Forte has been effective in limited use. Martz is still the same pass-happy lunatic he's always been.

Forte's been effective in the screen game, but running the ball?

I don't think he's broken 50 yards in any game but Carolina.

IIRC, Detroit held him to somewhere around 50 on almost 20 carries.

Forte is such an awesome RB.....that the Bears just took away his goal line opportunities.

I didn't say he was Jim Brown. But unlike Cutler, he's not turning the ball over four times a game.

Very true.

But again, I'd like to see if that was the case if Cutler wasn't required to be the entire offense.

I've got Forte in one of my leagues. I never know to start or sit his ass, as he could rush for 35, but catch for 150 and two scores.
