I hope Cassel does have a season like 2010 this year, along with a playoff win or two. This place would explode and Clayton's spin job would be EPIC

A season where he rides everyone else's coattails, posts shit numbers likes 3200 yards and 58 percent, and sucks a giant satanic cock in the playoffs?

You think I'd need to spin that?

And you bet this place would explode. With RAGE.

If he has 27 TD's to 7 INT's and 3,200 yards with this schedule, this team makes the playoffs easily.

I also said that the case was with him winning a playoff game or two.

Do I hope his game takes a complete 180 this year and he's actually really really good? And by really really good I mean not like his "Only play well against shit defenses" 2010 self. I mean like a kind of Cassel not even his supporters believed he could become. Do I hope he's that kind of QB? **** yes.

But I can guarantee you, the odds of him all of a sudden "getting it" like that having started 4 seasons at age 30 are remote. Super small. Minute. Tiny. How many QBs hold the clipboard for the first few years of their career, finally get an opportunity to start, then suck for 4 years, and then just out of nowhere become super ****ing great franchise-level? I'm trying to think, seriously. Rich Gannon is the closest, but he had a far better foundation and skills in place when he first started playing games in the regular season than Cassel. I'm digging back and coming up with names like Elvis Grbac and Jeff George (dude was pretty ****ing close to taking the Vikings to the Super Bowl). And that's not quite what we as Chiefs fans have in mind, I'm sure.

The whole 2010 repeat would be fine by me... minus one part. The having to throw the ball away at the very first sign of trouble.

There will be games when the team will be able to run for 150-200 yards and we will win.

But there are also going to be games when that does not happen, and the team is going to have to rely on the QB to carry the load. There is just no history there to indicate that Cassel is the QB to do that... including the 27-7 season that is/was 2010.
