Alex Tanney
Just watched Alex Tanney on Stan Lee's super Humans on the History Channel and they put him to some accuracy tests. He threw 5 consecutive 50 yard passes within a 2 inch circle. We have had a lot of QB talk around here, do you think Tanney can translate that accuracy to the NFL? He is currently on the Reserve/injured list and I think should get a serious look. You can't coach that kind of accuracy and God knows it has been lacking from the QB position for a long time in KC!!

Meh. He'd probably throw quite a few picks just because he'd be fooled by defenses. Having said that, what could it hurt. It's basically training camp now for next year.

I say put him in. Seriously, what is there to lose? But it won't happen, they'll start Stanzi before that. His accuracy is quite stirring, but as was mentioned, how will he perform under extreme NFL pressure? Methinks not too well. He's a circus act.

This. The chiefs season is done without hope. We may as well plug noob players in and find out whether or not they are a wasted roster spot for the future. Start weeding through all of them. Get them some garbage stats for trade value.

Yeah, I watched it last spring. I was really just commenting on the position of QB and how it relates to hitting a dixie cup from 20 meters.

He's impressive, no doubt. But that video was not live, it was edited for the obvious purpose.

Tanney is an interesting prospect, but let's be honest here -- playing QB in the NFL is as much or more about outsmarting defenses.

I don't understand why they didn't use him in the redzone more in preseason. If he can drop the ball on a dime, why not have 10 or so timing patterns for him to throw?

Understandable... while Thigpen was way better than Huard, the hype surrounding him was way overblown. You could see quickly he was not anywhere elite enough to move forward with him.
