Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

I just bought this bad boy (picks are not my gun - but it is exactly like it - im at work) and laughed because I can't walk out side to shoot it! However, if some one breaks in... Mossberg Maverick 88 - home defense!

Same here. I had 20,000+ acres out the back door to do whatever I wanted on. The only condition was to shoot all the coyotes and gophers for the ranchers.

So I got a buddy I am thinking of buying a gift for (did me a favor, and I owe him pretty big)
Should I 1) Cabella's (or similar) gift card 2) GunBroker.Com gift certificate 3) something else I may not have thought of... I want him to be able to buy a gun(or duck hunting gear...he is a BIG TIME duck hunter) which he may not do if I get him something else...since his wife may 'hijack' a regular gift card. He loves guns etc..& duck hunting..also boar & deer hunting too Any cool ideas floating around?

So, with Obama being re-elected and the possibility of the assault weapon ban being put back in place (from what I've read anyway), what are the best AR15 lower(s) to buy? I read that the only part of the gun that has to have a serial number and be registered is the lower receiver, and that if you own that part before any ban is in place, you can still buy the other parts needed for a full build. To everyone's knowledge, is that true? I'm thinking about buying a couple for that reason.

My next one will probably be a .308. Either that or I'll pick up a 6.5mm upper that will fit my current lower. 6.5mm provides similar stopping power, but ammo is harder to find.
Also, time to get serious about reloading. |

In other words buy 25 stripped lowers and 1 upper. Make sure to assemble each lower into a rifle and then move everything to the next lower. Good luck predicting what they're going after though. Posted via Mobile Device |
