If you are good at serving, getting stiffed happens once in a blue moon (hence the need for this whiny server to make a dramatic internet post about it).

If you suck at serving, maybe it will provide a nice incentive to work hard and find a job you are better suited for.

ok, maybe the server is throwing a tantrum, but it doesn't justify this customer running up a $138 tab, then trying to claim she is too hard up for money to leave a tip at all. that gives justification to the melt down, and honestly, if it were me things would have gone further. i might have lost my job over it. i guarantee this server remembers the customer's face, and if she tries to come back to the establishment, she will receive terrible service. in this country, tips are expected for good service, and if the service was great, like the note says, there is no excuse for this.
