Okay okay okay... John Dorsey only does BPA.

That's why, after Green Bay had the #32 defense in 2011, they spent their first SIX PICKS on defense in the draft.

People see BPA and assume it means best football player available, no matter position.


Position and need are factors into grading players to determine BPA.

You can use the BPA mantra for years and no matter who you pick you can say "that was the next guy up or our big board."

They identified the best defensive players in the draft and took them. Seems like it worked too. Jerel Worthy was pretty good and Casey Hayward was a fantastic pick.
