Hyping Warmack to be the first overall pick was really pushing the envelope. Everyone knew a G, albeit a good G, would not go #1. Manti was clearly overhyped as well. He may be a solid LB but theres no hiding from his mediocre combine performance; the fact that he disappeared in the biggest game of his life; and the whole gf fiasco. So that clearly leaves the best QB (Geno); the best CB (Millner); and the best pass rusher (?) as the potential #1 pick. If we stay at #1, then unless we take a WR it will be one of those three. |

Are people actually suggesting we should do something that's never happened ever in NFL history just because we're scared of drafting a QB? That's almost as dumb as taking a guard overall. |

1. The media has said no QB is worth the #1 pick. 2. Dorsey said he would take the BPA. I don't recall Dorsey ever saying that it wouldn't be a QB. |

1) Manti Teo IS worth the #1 pick ![]() 2) We should pick a guard #1 overall. Here's the deal - HISTORY says there's no CB worth the #1 pick. |

Theres an argument to be made with every position in relation to the #1 pick. Irregardless, it seems that the consensus on CP is that there are only three positions that warrant the #1 pick. 1. QB 2. Pass Rusher 3. CB In that order. So, it is possible that Dorsey/Reid agree and also possible it could happen. |

QBs are actually SAFER than OTs when it comes to building a winning team. More tackles bust than people want to accept. And even the ones that don't can't will a team to a winning record without a QB. MagicHef did some excellent analysis. |

I used to cringe every time Peterson would draft a damn lineman in the first round! I want playmakers!
