NO NO NO Milliner. Rhodes at the top of the 2nd is a much better pick. He is tall and much more physical. He will be a better pro than Milliner.
My assumptions are we resign Albert and Bowe and are not sold on Geno, so he will not be the #1 pick. We trade a 4th for Smith or Foles. No trade offers available to move out of the first pick. This scenerio leaves us wide open with the first pick. I'm kind of warming up to Star Lotulelei (assuming he checks out medically). Resign Jackson at a FMV contract take Rhodes in the 2nd and Tyrann Mathieu in the bottom of the 3rd (this is a little early but he will be gone by the top of the 5th). Star, Poe, Jackson Tomba, Johnson, FA ILB, Houston Flowers, Rhodes, Mathieu, Flowers That could be a really, really good defense. Add Da Rick Rodger with the 3rd round pick to go with Bowe and Trevor Kelch (sleeper TE) in the 5th. This would be a huge improvement over the past couple of years. Of course Smith or Foles at QB only makes it a huge improvement. Flame away. |

1. Star at #1 overall? No thanks. Fail. 2. Xavier Rhodes won't be there in round 2. Fail. 3. Tyrann in the 3rd? ![]() ![]() ![]()

2. Rhodes could be gone by 2.1, but he could easily be there as well. Not Fail. 3. Tyrann at the bottom of the 3rd would be a great value pick. Would be a late 1 or early 2 w/o the off field issues. Absolute NOT Fail. |

Did you bother to read....assuming his medical condition is cleared. And it is an abnormal cardio test. Not know if it is serious or nothing. He will be seeing specialists to determine what it is going on. You FAIL again. I will put money Tyrann Mathieu will not see the 5th round. |

Look who is laughing now.
Source: Steve Wyche on Twitter LSU CB Tyrann Mathieu ran forty times of 4.43 and 4.50 at the Combine Tuesday. After managing a pitiful four reps of 225 pounds on the bench press Monday, Mathieu needed a fast time to salvage his stock. The two solid forties should do the trick. It's the speed he'll need after measuring in at just 5-foot-8 3/4 and 186 pounds. The Honey Badger, profiling as an intriguing slot corner prospect, now has a good shot at being a day-two selection. |

You're either a LSU homer, Tyrann's family, or a complete idiot to think that he's A) Worthy of a 3rd round pick or B) Going to be productive in the NFL. FFS, AJ McCarron picked on him with Marquis Maze. Think about that one.

If they do indeed trade for Alex Smith like everyone around the league believes, then I think Milliner would be a great pick to bolster up a huge weakness.
I'd rather us keep Bowe and Albert and get this guy instead of taking Joeckel. I believe our brass is going to try to bolster up the OL with multiple picks somewhere in this draft.
