Ried proved that he can coach up QBs. This, and Alexs play when coached properly make this move interesting. Simple.

I wanted Geno as the next guy but he's as uncertain at this point as Alex.

We gave up too much for him. That sucks.

No, Reid showed that he could be successful with the 2nd overall pick.

Do a search of my posts. There's one that shows how piss-poor the QB play has been under Reid when you take McNabb out of the equation.

How do you get regime killer? The past two years with Smith starting in 2011, and I guess you could say they were set for a big fall last year before Smith went down, but it sure seemed like they were rolling.

I don't think we can say the Chiefs made a mistake by failing to draft an above average QB, unless Alex Smith ends up not being above average, and even then it will be a minor mistake.
