No it was the fact that when the Broncos switched to the 34 under McDaniels is when he flourished but when they went back to the 43 under Fox is when he became mediocre at best. He is a much better player in a 34 scheme.

They've been running a combination of fronts. The big thing with Dumervil is that he has a lot of moves he can use from a traditional 4-3 DE spot, but we're using him out wide a lot when we go 4-3, so he's limited. They do it to try to get the opposing offense to slide coverage and widen/open up.
