Also Kobe has been playing an NBA schedule since 1996... your body does completely wear down in 16 seasons.. plus like Marc Stein said the three seasons.

Phil Jackson WOULD NEVER EVER play Kobe that many minutes at his age. He was keeping kobe at 30-32 for the past few years. Even when they werent a good team. |

That's possibly the worst injury he could sustain. It robs you of so much explosiveness and drive. Obviously Kobe isn't a kamikaze slasher at this point in his career, but an inability to get lift and separation on his jump shot could be a death knell.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope it's just a strain.

Unless OKC loses to the Kings or Bucks at home and SA wins out. I find that extremely unlikely. Especially the way the Thunder has stepped it up recently. |

Oh, that's right. I was thinking SAS was going to be #1. Meh, they won't be winning a series against either of them anyway. But I'd really like to see them let Nash be Nash and somewhat like the team I though they could be last summer with some efficient pick-and-roll basketball.

Kobe becoming like 2013 Vince Carter would be a travesty. Ali-Holmes bad.

ooh, he's going to get some of the blame as well, but Jim doesnt say who plays what minutes!
Anyways, shit is over and done with. Its time for the Lakers to honestly try to rebuild somehow! Kobe wont be back til at least the middle of next year and at worst the END Of next season then his contract is up. I guess the good thing is, dude will have plenty of rest to let his body recover. |

D'Antoni was a brutal hiring and it was so obvious from the beginning. Just dumbfounding when Phil was supposedly willing to return. |

I hated Larry Bird when I was a kid because I was a Dr. J guy. I remember rooting for him at the end as I saw him playing through pain to give his team any chance. Kind of feel the same way about Kobe now. |
