It is a very good article. Nice break down in the graphic on the right. Just sick how much taxes get taken and from where! |

Wow. That was different than I expected about how they paid taxes. I didn't know each player and staff pay taxes to each city they go to play in on game days. Seems like that would be a huge headache to file taxes for each state. I'd get over the headache of course if I made the bucks some of the top players make. I bet they pay more in taxes for one game than I make in a year.

Yet they are still able live in mansions and drive Bentley's, boy they've sure got it rough.
I suppose they could quit the NFL and work at Walmart instead. |

Some years ago, I was with a group of guys coming back from the Final Four. One, an adult of 50 and fairly intelligent, goes on about how pro athletes shouldn't make all the money they do. Saying $100K is about the right level. Saying sports is a "love" and people shoulnd't need millions to do something they love. on and on it went.
I finally spoke up at one point and said: "I have only one question to ask you. Do you want Lamar Hunt to make $120 million instead of $45 million this year?" That was the only comment that made him think. |
