Matt Barkley has injury concerns and has never been elite physically.

But he was going top 10 a year ago! Because white QBs can be slight and noodle armed, but cerebral QB WIZARDS THAT ARE GENIUS FIRST ROUND PROSPECTS!!!!

But not GENO. He lacks the requisite "genetic freak" hallmarks. GTFO GENO! Your delts aren't NEARLY big enough.

But Geno's little cry baby temper tantrum is just proving everyone why they made a right choice not to select him tonight.

what does Geno think, hes going to be drafted by an NFL team and just given a starting QB job? Good luck.

I'm starting to see why Andy Reid and John Dorsey traded for Alex Smith as the safer bet. And it makes a lot of sense from a "leading the team" standpoint.

well by that logic there was not a QB worth a shit in 2009 either, so the concept worked in theory,

the problem was they held onto the 2009 plan way too long and missed QBs in the following years

This has to be the easiest to please fan base ever. Bring in a retread and get 8 or 9 wins and KC is just ecstatic. Mention drafting a QB early and even TRYING to get a QOTF and people fall all over themselves stupid.

I'm not saying Geno or any QB in this class is a can't miss prospect or anything of the like, but you don't get draft picks this high very often (nor do you want them), but you also DO NOT trade them for someone like Average Smith. Look at the potential options we would have had at #34. SMH It pisses me off that this franchise doesn't even try.

Good luck waiting another 30 years for Andrew Luck to fall into your laps, douches.

The only way to get a real QB in this league is to go ****ing get one yourself, warts and all.

Geno wasn't terrible at all. In fact, he would have been in a perfect position.

I hope the people who find this hilarious are equally as cheerful next year at this time when all the good QBs are gone before the Chiefs pick and we're forced to YET AGAIN pass on QB talent just because there's no "sure thing."

You'll keep saying the Chiefs did the right thing. Meanwhile, Alex Smith will be yucking it up and you'll continue to bitch about the Chiefs being "unlucky."

There's no such thing as luck in the NFL. The Ravens needed a QB in 2008. So did the Falcons. They "reached" on their guys and got what they needed.

We're going to roll with Alex Smith. Think about that.

BUT AT LEAST OUR LT WILL BE REALLY GOOD, RITE?

But but but...we'll have 8 or 9 wins and all will be good drafting from the middle. All will be right in KC land...just like old times.

He's not a first round caliber QB AT ALL.

You must have missed the part where all the other teams passed on him too.

2 guards went in the top 10, it's not a good day to discuss NFL GMs having brains.

QBs fall all the time. He's absolutely a first round QB.

You're missing the fact that waiting around for JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT hasn't worked in 30 years, and it's time to go outside your comfort zone and pick a ****ing QB.

EJ Manuel isn't a 1st round QB. Look at the Bills. THEY'RE NOT AFRAID.

We are.

We're also ****ed until we get over ourselves.

Maybe you should look at the Bills. There's a reason they haven't been to the playoffs since 1999.
