I want to be wrong, as the team seems to be coming together. But his location is off, and he looks tired. How we have won 40 games is a mystery. Good pen, decent starters. Two big bats and we win the division. Hosmer is half a big bat bat. Moose could be a half. Billy could be a half. Need some acquisitions.

What an immensely enjoyable game.

4 bombs.

They just have a weird vibe with Shields on the mound... if he pitches great, they don't score. If he gets roughed up, they score. Very strange.

I kind of love George Kotteras. Such a unique hitter and so unlike anything the Royals have had recently.

Cain seems to have a flair for dramatic HR, too. Very big shot today. Hopefully he can build on that a little. Seems like his bat is starting to warm up.

I refrained from calling "game over" but I am with you. I went out for a bike ride when it was 5-0. Listened to the game while doing so. Got pumped when we tied it then when they went up 7-5 I was figuring we would lose until Hosmer went apeshit.
