***OFFICIAL Royals vs. White Sux August 21,2013 Game Thread***

Almost to the why bother point. I will fall on my sword for this inept offense.
Anyway, for what it is worth, Go Royals!

Way to hang tough Royals, in case all of the six teams, or however many, ahead of you decided to implode.

No surprise. Royals have had crap talent for 20 plus years and it will never get better unless a more powerful owner buys them.

It's hard to not have a defeatist attitude.

They'll still finish with a pretty solid record and I hate feeling good about that because we traded for Shields.

I guess the positives for me this year would include:

- Hosmer potentially finding beast mode.
- Having the best closer in the game not named Mariano Rivera or Jim Johnson.
- David Lough. I probably like him more than some and he has been a pleasant surprise.

That's about it. I like the Santana acquisition and it would be in my list of positives, but I don't see him here for the long haul.

If we finish behind Cleveland, Dayton has to answer why. THey've done a complete re-build in his time at Kansas City. If they can do it in the same market - and in a shorter time frame - Dayton has to explain why they could but he could not.

Just my observation but it seems to me that the George Brett experiment was starting to pay dividends and now it's regressed back to the same old same old.
