Not that we have much room to gloat here but when you look at the last 3 years and what the Raiders have done its astoundingly stupid.

2011 traded a 1st and 2nd round pick for Carson Palmer
2011 gave a 3rd round pick in supplemental draft for Pryor

2013 traded Palmer to Arizona for a swap of 6th and 7th round picks, in other words, nothing.

2013 traded for Matt Flynn giving up a 5th and a conditional pick later.

2013 drafted Tyler Wilson in the 4th round and cut him.

Flynn loses starting job to Pryor.

So far I think Oakland has used a 1st a 2nd a 3rd a 4th and a 5th round draft pick the last 3 years to end up with Pryor and Flynn at QB and everything I have read neither have any chance of being a quality NFL starter.


But hey they 'tried" right?

yes, they tried the True Fan way

trade for a vet - check (alex smith)
trade for a backup - check (matt cassel)
don't draft a first round QB - check (Chiefs)

same as the Chiefs, with the same results

good thing they avoided risk though...remember, failure is ok as long as you avoid risk /chiefs fans
