Posting Political/Religious Threads in the Main Forum

Eventually a mod shows up to move the damned thing, but this has been happening way too much lately.

We have a special playground for all your politards and bible thumpers/haters for a reason.

I propose that from this point forward people who do this should lose their thread starting privileges, at least temporarily.

Your attempt to call me a racist fails badly. Abortion is something that everyone has an opinion on. I've never said, in my life, that if you don't believe the way I do you are going to hell. If you are going to hell it's totally your life choices and nothing posted by anyone here or in the other forum has an impact on that.

If you feel I need to have an image change you should probably post that in the other forum, it doesn't belong here.

Eh, I could just ignore it if I wanted to. I'm not generally a fan of locking threads. Though I kind of agree that this one fails to entertain.

This thread will be news and is not intended to be political, but if people like patteeu and his ilk can't behave themselves and moderators think it deserves more reverent treatment, I won't have any problem with them moving it to the DC sanctuary.

But I think Frazod's poll was a question of changing the protocol to stop the relatively recent trend of posters who know better but have chosen to move their religious or politics topics out into the Lounge.

Since there really isn't any reason for a DC regular to accidentally post a political thread in the Lounge, any thread that shows up in the Lounge is deliberately there.

In some cases it might be a noob who made a mistake. In some cases, it's a major news story that is a rightful exception.

But in the last few cases, it's clearly a deliberate effort by a few to broaden the visibility of their political or religious topic. It's deliberate choices like that that IMO could be subject to extra punishment at the discretion of the Mod.

Could someone list these "other cases" and this "recent trend" that you're talking about? I haven't noticed any significant difference lately.

Good Lord. Frazod's inner nazi mod is coming out again. Since when do we lock threads around here just because some people might have grown weary of them? Are you familiar with Luv's "I have a date" thread? You'd be a horrible moderator.
