I found this post because i stay up to date, to not read whats going on with Dennis Skillicorn would be turniing my head from what grief he brought upon my family. The day we got news of his execution date was very recent only to be bombarded with "sign this petition posts" since then all over the internet. I spoke out in court against him and I will continue to where ever necessary to make sure before people sign some petition before knowing all the facts about this man..they hear a voice who knows the truth. Please feel free to ask ANY questions.

Hi jennilyn, glad you came back. Here's the part I didn't understand.
"The woman who wrote this letter was once a Kansas City news reporter. She covered the murder of Richard Drummond. The woman who worte this letter also stood in the court room when I stood merely inches behind her then husband (why she chose to marry a man who was being tried for 3 murders I will never understand) and begged the judge show no leinancy for Dennis Skillicorn's crimes of murdering my aunt and uncle. I spoke that day for my family, for my aunt and for my uncle. Honestly with that said how can you even think about requesting signatures on a case I imagine you do not know ALL the facts to written by a woman who was once appauled by this mans actions?" Do you mean the reporter married this guy after his conviction? That paragraph sort of lost me. |

Dennis Skillicorn was first tried and convicted for the murder of Richard Drummond...And sentenced to death. He was then transported to Arizona to stand trial for murdering my aunt and uncle.. more good samaritans So when Skillicorn was brought to Az to stand trial for those murders..Paula had married him, and became his wife.

I guess, though, there are some advantages. He's not going to cheat on you, unless you count unspeakable acts in the prison shower. He's not going to be hanging around the house on the weekends annoying you. (Heh - hanging. No pun intended.) And if he's got a good life insurance policy, you're set for life. Hmm, maybe it's not such a bad idea.

Hi Jennilyn, and welcome to the board.
The loss to your family certainly gets a lot of sympathy on this board. In his defense, the original poster is a nice fellow who just didn't receive all of the facts. If you didn't take the time to read the entire thread, a quick summary would be that the only people who aren't avidly in favor of executing that criminal were the few who don't think the death penalty should be used on anyone. It's their right to think that, but everyone else agreed that the criminal is a perfect candidate to be executed, and most of us would buy popcorn to see it. For that matter, most of us would want to pop the popcorn on the criminal's head while the voltage is running through him. You start a petition to fry him and you'll get a couple of hundred signatures from this site alone.

So she made a statement at the sentencing hearing asking the judge to show no leniency for Skillicorn and then married him later?

I think Jennilyn was the one asking for no leniency.

Thank you , Actually I did read the entire thread. I don't doubt Mr.Thurman is a very nice guy. As i said I don't think he knows ALL the facts.
Perhaps I was confusing in my post.. it was me who stood behind Skillicorn asking for no leinacy..and the woman who was offered us condolance had become his wife. To JASONSAUTO, I feel for Tim in a sort of way.. i think he was in the wrong place with the wrong guys and had no idea there was going to be a murder. He was smart, when he discovered what these other two men were doing he wanted out..It's a shame he was there, but it is also his testimony that revealed all that Skillicorn said and did. For that I am thankful. |

What kind of sick freak marries a guy like this AFTER he's in jail? And it's not like this is an isolated incident. I've heard of this happening several other times. The fascination with murderers.... hell, Ted Bundy got fan mail complete with pictures from women who looked just like his victims.
I don't get it. I'm kind of glad I don't get it. ![]() |
