Difference? It was a much easier schedule in 2015 against a lot more mediocre d-lines compared to 2016. Our o-line got exposed big time IMHO.

This sounds like throwing the agent a bone here to help the EB negotiations. Very well could be these numbers for LDT are significantly pumped for media release, when in reality it's far less than that.

Fulton was a pretty big problem. He could operate okay as a straight ahead blocker but stunts gave him absolute fits and his feet were bad enough that he couldn't get out and pull either. He really impacted some of the things the line was able to do and made playing defense against us similar to Madden - if you needed a sack or a QB pressure at a key time, you knew a stunt or delayed blitz over his gap would wreck the play. You just saved it until you needed it.

LDT was never an issue. He was steady and again, an ascending player.

He's not going to be an elite guard but I don't suspect the terms here will show that he's getting 'elite guard' money either. I think in the end he'll be a well above average G as his run-blocking moves forward. There's nothing physically or mentally that will stop that from improving for him. And his pass-blocking already has him as an average starter because he's a genuine asset in pass-pro.

There's still plenty of upside baked into LDT.

Hopefully this guy develops into a beast and the contract works out in our favor. That's pretty much all we can hope for at this point.

Never really paid much attention to him but sometimes as a offensive lineman that is a good thing. Maybe he is better than we all think.

He's been reliable and in the 90th percentile in pass pro. I think the entire right side of the line is in the 90th percentile in pass pro including Morse.

I really don't see a problem with this signing bc by the time the guy makes $8 million in 2019, inflation will make it seem small much like Allen Bailey's deal.

It seems like the OL is almost complete minus a quality backup candidate who can play G or T.
