I'm still not liking the Favre pick. You could have waited so much longer to get him. Instead you ended up passing on some quality younger QBs.

Your linebackers are rock solid, and the secondary is good to very good. The rest just kind of makes me go "meh". You need lots of depth at RB, and your receivers are average at best. And you best get going on that d-line!

Maybe this is going to be brought out later, I don't know... but, I think it would be great to have a ROSTER THREAD where we post our updated rosters and give some insight into what we were thinking when building the team.

I know there are a number of different philosophies... I took this team over in Round 4 or so and have moved at least one player (Cassel) that was drafted by the previous owner. That was just too high for that QB in my opinion.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone is regarding their thoughts or rational as "sacred" until after the draft, but I don't care to mention what my thought process has been throughout the draft. It's not like anyone can really derail another person's draft at this point.

Your banking on Cassel being really good....which is easy to do when you're a Chiefs fan. That being said....I have no problem with Cassel. I'm just saying that you drafted Favre WAY earlier than you should have. You honestly could have waited until around the 28-30 round range to get him. Instead you could have grabbed someone like Orton or Quinn....shoot....even Hasselbeck is a better insurance policy than Favre.

I feared having Cassel just because of the unknown with the new team... sure, my two QBs have their own issues, but I'm more comfortable and I was able to get additional things from the draft.

Regarding Favre, man ... it's a 1 year deal really.

Unless I've missed it, there are 2-3 QBs still out there that I would love to have right now as a #2... I might not have taken Edwards way back when had I known they would still be there. But, that's how it rolls...

The rationale for taking Favre is sound, but I do think it was a few rounds early... but, much like in fantasy drafts, if you have a player on your list and you fear he may not make it to your next pick, go get him.

Question...

Regarding the trading of picks for the rounds beyond R21... who is updating the order? I don't recall where that is right now, but we have a number of things to adjust.

This is my point though.

Say Cassel does really good. That's awesome.....but you're still going to need another QB next year as an insurance policy.

Say Cassel does shitty and flops big time. Now you're looking for two QBs next year because Favre is more than likely (who ****ing knows) retired. That leaves you slim pickings next year and you're more than likely going to have to trade for one.

I am honestly looking at drafting another QB in this draft because it's the most important positions....and there might be the possibility that Cutler gets injured....and Quinn loses the starting gig in Cleveland.

You pick before I do and there are 2-3 targets on my list and I have the same thought process. Was thinking 3rd QB, maybe 3rd RB, 2nd TE... just for depth and insurance.

Yes, I need another OL starter and actual depth... another DT and DL depth, as well as DB depth... but, those guys can be had later.

So, there you go, I'm showing my cards... ... or am I bluffing and sending up a smoke screen?

Hmmm, wonder if I can trade up ahead of Pesty in this next round? Now that would be sweet.

I really wasn't thinking Kicker with my previous pick but I thought, screw it... those guys put up huge points and I might as well get a young guy, with mad talent that is consistent with nice upside.

Ok - I'm out for a bit. Enjoy...
