Yu-Gi-Oh!
I have a 6 year old that asked for and recieved a bunch of these playing cards. Anyone have any experience with this game? I have read about 3/4 of the rulebook and it seems complicated to me, let alone a 6 year old. I would like to play the game with him. Anyone have any experience playing? I saw some cards selling on Ebay for $2500.00, and yes, someone actually bid!
http://search.ebay.com/yu-gi-oh_W0QQ...2dohQQsbrsrtZl I collected sports cards when I was a kid so I understand the value and education a kid gains from the hobby, but these cards seem to be a HUGE fad. Any input will be appreciated! thanks |

Yu-Gi-Oh is a pretty shitty game. Boring, and gives disincentives to skill.
All collectible card games are based off of the patented mechanics of Magic: the Gathering -- a game that has thrived for some 14 years now. It's not just surviving, its enjoying its most popular years ever. How does a game do that? By being one of the best games ever, of any kind. Magic: the Gathering will go down as one of the best and most important games in world history. It's like chess meets poker; an absolutely brilliant game. |
