As far as the countries harboring the terrorists are concerned. No doubt they will loudly proclaim that the terrorists are not under their control. I will accept that explanation and tell the countries involved that we are coming to take control of these groups and that the countries involved need to decide which side they are on.

This only works if you are willing to carry through in the threat.

There is where the US will fall short, IMO.

When dealing with the 'death before dishonor' crew, you have to hand out some dishonor along with the death. A few dozen of these wallahs found dead with a corncob up their bunghole and a pound of bacon down their throat will slow down the others. A nice 'heros death' causing us to wail and gnash our teeth is what they want. A lonely and unclean death is what they fear.

Give 'em what they fear, and pass it out left and right. For once, I say it would pay to 'overkill'. Find the grandma of the dead ones responsible, and give them the bacon treatment, then their hairdresser and their mailman and their little dog too.

Oh, I totally agree with that. These terrorists should have no safe harbor, and we should go after them full force. If some country is standing in our way, screw them. I don't understand how this Bin Ladin guy has been able to evade us for so long...

Bin Laden has been able to evade us because we do not make war on individuals. We do not want to lower ourselves and cut off the head of the snake.

As someone else earlier eluded--we've been there for millions of people in numerous countries since the end of WWII, offering our dollars and our children to defend them. Anyone who does not come out and publicly decry this cowardly attack is, in Bob Dole's eyes, the enemy and should be treated as such.

I agree with you Gaz. I hope you're wrong on the United States' dealing with these terrorist cowards. I think there will be a lot of political pressure from the citizens in this country to take out the whole of this terrorist group even if it means going to war with another country. Hell, they started this war on us. Now they're gonna find out how big of a mistake they made.

i don't think we have really ever tried to find Bin ladin...


think about it...

if we kill him, he becomes a martyr.
if we imprison him, followers of his will start abducting every american in site so they can demand bin ladens release.

dealing with bin laden cause big trouble either way.


IMO the only way to deal with it, is to go on the offensive and take bin laden out AND his momma,daddy,sister,2nd cousins etc.

along with as many terroristic "cells" we can find.

all of them in the same 24 hours time period...

and then don't stop there. anytime a terrorist "cell" is located it should be completely destroyed.

track 'em and kill 'em and ongoing and necessary process.

and more importantly, we shouldn't let any world comdenation stop us.

we should tell all our allies to support us publicly are get the fuck out of our way.

any country not publicly supporting our actions, should be giving the political and economical boot.

either with us, or against us....period!!

One important consideration, IMO, is that any campaign must be carried out as a long-term strategic plan, not as a knee-jerk reaction to atrocities. If we go off bloody-eyed for vengeance, we will not be able to sustain the effort.

I'm tired of some garbage country killing innocents and civilians and we use kid gloves to handicap them.


Not an eye for an eye, but an arm, leg, head, and abdomen for each eye we loose.

Let the world know that we will not tolerate ANY action agaist us. If they kill 1,000 of ours, kill 100,000 of theirs...
