My friend's new bar - need advice!

My friend's new bar opens in less than a month and I think he still is in need of a cool logo. The bar will be a lounge with some pool tables and a few other bar games...

The bar is either called Valhalla or Valhalla Lounge (not sure)

Some kind of stylized viking/celtic text or should there also be a proper logo?

Like a longhouse

or Valkyrie

or longboat...

The Longhouse is too obscure, the longboat doesn't really fit unless it is lakeside and the valkyrie will attract D&D players and/or lesbians.
What about a V made from the lower V shape of Thor's hammer? think that could be done?

I am trying to avoid the viking helmet theme if possible.

Too obscure for the general public.

Maybe two swords stuck in the ground (like on a battlefield) to make the V?

I'm gonna try the hammer first and if it looks like it can't be done... swords it will be... of course it is all up to my friend in the end.

I would try to make the word Valhalla into a longboat. Sort of crappy attempt but you get the idea.

WOW. Not a bad idea (and not a bad attempt at showing it)

I'll add that to the list.

Right now it's... Valhalla spelled with a V of sword, or a V of Thor's hammer or Valhalla stylized as a longboat.

Something along those lines except Valhalla in a Viking font in lieu of the Viking Clan wording? (and sans the blood)

I'm failing to see what longboats, swords and Mjöllnir (Thor's hammer) have to do with Valhalla.

Valhalla is the enormous hall in Asgard (where the dead go after being taken there by the Valkyries) and Odin ruled over Valhalla.

If the place was called, "Vikings" or "Norse Land" or something else along that line, the previously mentioned logos would work. Odin's weapon was a spear and he rode a Sleipnir (an eight legged horse).

And to think that people used to make fun of me for playing AD&D ... pppsssshhhh

The crossed swords represent dead in battle, the boat is just a viking deal... so not relevant but cool... Thor is because his was the largets hall in Valhalla...
