You all know how I can be over certain police actions. This cop was justified, and I'm thrilled he just threw a jab rather than breaking out his taser or a billy club. This cop is to be commended for how he handled this situation IMHO.

I saw nothing wrong with this video prior to reading the article. After reading the article, I believe the officer used the proper reaction to this situation. Why people think it's okay to place your hands on an officer making an arrest is beyond me. If this officer is suspended, then something is incredibly wrong.

What the hell should the guy have done? Look at how quickly that thing could have gone horribly horribly awry. With 2 people involved, he could've ended up in a very messy situation in a hurry. Instead he flipped the girl a quick jab and ended the escalation.

It's absolutely pathetic that some people would attempt to make this a race issue.

Watched it again - the girl gave him a two-handed shove and squared up to him. She brought her hands up into an aggressive posture.

If a man does that, he gets a billy club to the jaw. That was a fighting move under any definition of the term.

Don't shove a cop, don't get knocked out.

I'm pretty sure that even the most minimally-observant person watching the video would notice that the cop is White and the girls are Black.

That being said, I wonder if the girls would have responded this way to a Black officer? Also, I wonder if the "verbal antagonism" displayed by the girls was racial in nature?
