Blame coaching, blame the refs and hell, blame the players. But Veach isn't the problem at all regarding this loss.
Veach is the one who is responsible for bringing talent on the team and has completely whiffed on doing that. I have blamed all of those people too.

Veach literally did 1 thing and it wasn't even when he was GM, so who actually knows the amount of influence he had on the decision to draft Mahomes. You can't tell me that Mahomes wasn't on the Chiefs radar until Veach brought him up. Nothing else that he has done has worked out. His draft picks haven't done much, the players he's traded for haven't done much, his free agents have pretty much all sucked. He's missed a ton and the one thing he gets praise for didn't even take place when he was GM. He gave an injury prone WR a ridiculous contract when we didn't really need him.

Oh yeah Earl Thomas. I'm not sure why everyone takes that report as a for sure sign we were going to trade for him. Because I remember the week before he was hurt that it was unlikely that we were going to trade for him, then he gets hurt and all of the sudden it's a completely different story and we were so close to trading for him. Just seems fishy to me and nowadays people throw shit at the wall hoping to be the first to report it. There been plenty of reports that have been wrong over the years; who thought Andy Reid was coming to KC?

There were plenty of other people out there we could have traded for that would have helped a ton and also a couple of FA that would have helped if we wouldn't have threw so much cash at Sammy Watkins.

I just really don't get why people like Brett Veach

Andy has said Veach was the one that put him square on the radar.

Hence, the reason he's GM and Chris Ballard isn't after Dorsey's cap mismanagement.

“Brett Veach was responsible for him,” Reid told Cowherd. “John Dorsey kind of put him in that position to look at him. Brett spent a lot of time with this kid and so he hammered me on watching him and watching him and watching him and watching him, and so, I had couple years worth of film that I was able to watch, and I can’t tell you it’s one play but there were a few, these passes where he’d be running right and looking right and then throwing back left but not all the way to that danger zone but in position where you’d just go, ‘Whoa. That’s something.’ He still has a ton of room to grow for us, but those are the things that got me.”

Sounds like Dorsey was interested in Mahomes and told Veach to scout. Seems like Mahomes was already on Dorseys radar. It wouldnt take much skill to be directed by your boss to go scout a player. I'm sure if Dorsey came to me and said go down to Texas Tech and watch this Patrick Mahomes kid play and get to know him that i would have told Andy that he should be our guy. Too many people take Reid's word to literally. What would you have expected him to say? "Dorsey was the one who was interested in Mahomes, so he sent Veach to do the scouting, because Dorsey is too busy with a million other things. Veach really was following orders and happened to be the lucky one to get assigned to scout Mahomes and that luck was what got him the GM job"? Reid is always going to prop up his guys and say they were responsible for anything good that happened.

It was also said that Veach was scouting other players at a Texas Tech game, but Mahomes stood out so much that he was compelled to show Andy what he found.

Veach discovered Patrick before he got the notoriety.

As I said that's reason he has the Chiefs job instead of Ballard.

If you remember Ballard was an hot item for any open GM position.

Mahomes > Peters

Ballard was hired by the Colts in January. Dorsey wasn't fired until the end of June. So wtf are you talking about? There is no point even arguing with you, because no matter what the evidence points to and no matter how wrong you are you're going to continue acting like your original point was right.

Probably, but there may be a slight difference between the Raiders game and this one. I just can't seem to remember what it is.

Teams this season trailing by 14 points or more in the final 5 minutes of regulation were 0-88 coming into tonight. Bob Sutton said hold my beer.

It’s time to fly a banner and get rid of that piece of shit. Put me down for a couple hundred on it.
