Well, no, no he's not crazy.

When you consider that defenses were just going to sit back in two deep all day and force Tyreek to be a possession receiver, no he's not crazy at all.

Defenses now are playing us in man and betting our WR's can't beat them. Well, they're starting to beat it. Now what are you going to do?

Wait until we start committing to running the ball. (LOL just kidding. Although, if they figure out a way to cover everyone, we just might.)

So why don't they go back to playing deep if we were less than effective against it?

most of tape this season is the chiefs killing you underneath

the 49ers in their hubris and arrogance as the #1 defense thought they could crowd the short zones and play the run on the way to the QB, and make us pay

instead they paid...the patrick price

I’m glad you’re coming around to what we tried to tell you all offseason. Remember when you trolled about us maybe scoring 26-27ppg.

The offense is only going to get better as the season progresses, too. These guys aren’t clicking on all cylinders yet and that’s terrifying for the rest of the nfl when we’re dropping 40 burgers on defenses like SF and Tampa.

Because Mahomes

He is playing better than he was last year. He‘ll pick you apart. He’s the main reason we are leading the NFL in scoring offense.

Mahomes did struggle for a bit last year while learning to deal with the two deep constantly. I think somebody post some stuff recently that showed how the offense really took off last year once the ball started getting spread around a lot more. That worked until the AFC Championship game. I believe the numbers showed that Hill and Kelce received the biggest amount of targets by far in that game and probably a good reason why we lost. This year, because there is no true #1 WR (though you could call Kelce the #1) the ball has been spread around quite a bit. It also probably helps that the WR group as a whole is better. And because of that, this offense has become even tougher to defend.

Certainly possible the existence of no real WR2 last year was the biggest issue

I know! We might score 44 points on the #1 defense or something!

Last year? Supposedly it's been 22 years since the Chiefs had two WR's both go over a hundred yards in a game.
