Anyone have an opinion of Paul's Drive-In on Blue Ridge, south of I-470? I've never been there but have heard good things about their burgers, tenderloins, and onion rings. It's not convenient for me, but I'm in that area occasionally.

I'm sure it's been mentioned (not looking for it) but Chi Chi's was a big favorite of mine in the early 80's. I even bused tables and cooked at the one in Lohmans Plaza in OP.

Some places that have sentimental value to me are:
1. Red's Giant Hamburg - Springfield. Now defunct but still a great place in its day. 2. Shakey's Pizza - Springfield. Now defunct. The building now houses a strip joint. 3. Taylor's Drive Inn - Springfield. Still operating. Food is okay. 4. Heer's Mezzanine Restaurant - Springfield. Now defunct. In the old Heer's Department Store. Great blue plate special place. 5. Ebenezer's - Springfield. Now defunct. Loved the flower pot bread. |
