great play by cotch -- 22 should have defended the ball -- well, first he had to turn his shoulder ever so slightly -- and see where the ball was going lol

Bengal defense is getting worn down.

Greene is just punishing them now.

I really believe he needed to be brought along slowly.
Maybe. The reason I thought he should have been a mid- to late-first pick was his lack of experience. But if they saw and thought enough of him after the offseason and camp to play him, then I think you have to treat him like what we was, a top-5 draft pick QB. And in that light, I would say that 4 games with 3+ INTs, a season long completion percentage under 54 and a year-end QB rating of 63 has to be seen as a disappointment especially when you consider the fact that he wasn't actually asked to do much but game manage an offense built around running the ball.

And again, I was never anti-Sanchez, I just thought like you he'd need time. But the Jets disagreed when they picked him, and then disagreed again when they started him week 1...

So in the end, maybe you and I were right, but either way, he had a bad, bad year. Which in no way means he can't have better ones down the road.

I think the bottom line is that the Jets needed a QB.

Kellen Clemons is pretty pathetic, and even though Sanchez wasn't ready, and showed it throughout the season, he was still a better option.

I will say this. If Sanchez ever DOES turn out to be a good qb, the Jets will dominate the AFC East for a few years. The Patriots fell too much in love with all the points and forgot what got them there. Defense. The lines. And yes a great qb. But they won a SB when Brady wasn't great.
