Make ChiefsPlanet great again!

Figured I'd get this discussion going sooner than later. Here's your thread to suggest ways to make this place great. This can be anything from new capabilities (though no promises on making anything work), new ways of organizing things, whatever.

As examples, I think we need to figure out a way to meet the desires of people who want calm, in-depth discussion of the Chiefs and people who love a no-holds-barred, in-your-face style.

I also keep thinking about ways to have more unique content, kind of like gblowfish's 10 Things threads. Maybe we could have people write regular features or something like that?

I certainly don't have the answers, but we might as well use the offseason to talk about some cool ideas.

FWIW... I know plenty of Redskins fans who hate Cousins as much as many on CP here hate Smith. I'm hoping the Redskins let him go and the niners pick him up.

Is Kirk Cousins the hot new pick for Chiefs homers to shit on?

He dragged the 28th ranked defense to an 8-7-1 record....he's basically Trent Green at this point.

I'm not a big draft guy as far as remembering how these players were valued at the time of their drafting... but you have Wilson on your list. I know that Wilson's success was somewhat of a surprise. I personally don't blame organizations for not over-reaching on un-proven players because I also don't blame organizations for wanting to sell tickets. It's a business, just like any other. My guess, from my time here, is that Hunt asks his HC and GM to put together the best team they can - because he wants to sell tickets - and then gets out of their way.

He's nothing like Cassel. He was near the top of the league in downfield completions.

He's going to be a very good QB for a long time.

He's kind-of the opposite of Smith in terms of his style... throws the ball all over the place, takes big chances and sometimes is rewarded and often times it kills his team. I'd think Smith-haters would love him.

But the dude approaches the game the right way and plays hard for the team. Easy to root for, and has the ability to get his team into the playoffs - which in my opinion - is the only thing that matters. Just get into the tournament, because once in, anything can happen.

It doesn't change the order of the posts like reddit, does it? It's just a way to show which viewpoints are most well received?

Like a public rep system.

And there you go, Clay (assuming the rumors are true) and I agree on something. It's a whole new year. Although I don't think I'd go so far as to say "very". I think Cousins will be a good QB for a long time. Capable enough to give a team a chance.

I inadvertently derailed it when I responded to a post and asked for the theories on why Hunt would go out of his way to avoid drafting QB's.

Please carry on with the OP.

Steve Young was never available to the Chiefs.

He was drafted in the Supplemental Draft and the Bucs, by virtue of their 2-14 record, took him.

Always talking out of your ass, Claynus.
