I don't understand how stupid these "businessmen" are. I think alot of it has to do with their ego.

All comes down to the idea that owners seem to think they should be able to privatize the profit and socialize the losses. Which is bullshit. Can’t have both.

Baseball is also a ticket driven sport when it comes to revenue. It's not pure television dollars when it comes to salaries like the NFL. Its why a market like St. Louis which is in the bottom third tv wise is top 10 in revenue.

No Whit. A "job" is what roughly 25% of the country doesn't have right now.

2020 Royals Official Offseason/Season Repository
I remember this game. I remember I wanted to go but I had another encounter that night.
Royals were the defending champs & they had Bo Jackson on the team. Exciting time to be a Royals fan. https://youtu.be/2QDROdrv-Xw https://youtu.be/EmMBsmFzOIw https://youtu.be/vK5eunoRBWc https://youtu.be/ynSXuCH-zn0

Hmmmmm. interesting take. Its almost like this could be expanded to our society's current situation.. Big business keeps all the money (while paying minimal tax mind you), shiz hits the fan and all of the sudden, those same companies need the people's money to survive. I REALLY REALLY DO NOT WANT to hijack the only thread on the planet I frequent, but this is just too juicy to let slip past. |
