I was hoping you'd pop in and share the info... that's greatness! Thanks.

Yeah, I was a bit suprised by that, but then, I think they did that because they probably wanted a bigger piece of the pie.

Obviosly their desires on the revenue sharing was unreasonable I guess.

If i remember correctly they were trying to work out a new revenue sharing thing, and they could have possibly wanted to turn down this offer to get more money for themselves from the other teams. i could be wrong, but thats what it sounds like

Wilson said he voted no because he didn't understand it. That it was too complex to understand in 45 min. and that it shouldn't have been rushed.

You are correct.

The agreement concludes weeks of contentious negotiations between the league and the NFL Players' Association. The new extension will add nearly $8 million to the 2006 salary cap, pushing it to $102 million, Mortensen reports. Without a CBA extension, the 2006 cap would have been $94.5 million. The 2007 cap will be $109 million, according to Mortensen.

I think that this also should be mentioned, at least in my opinion.

While I may not be a big fan of NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, but he put the burden on himself and really pushed this deal through.

He rode every side's ass until the deal was done, pushing back FA and forcing the issue.

Tags, you're perserverance may have saved the NFL, thanks a ton.
