Oh this is a new thread? I just thought someone dredged up a thread from one of his six previous trade demands.

If we end up drafting a QB (doubtful) then I want him to stay. Otherwise, well, bye.

While I can understand why Tony would want a trade, its best we keep him on. He has shown that despite the trade drama, he will go out and play hard every week. This team needs someone that a new QB can rely on when needed. If Gonzales goes, Bowe will never see a passing down that he doesn't get double teamed again. The Chiefs have few enough weapons on offense they can hardly be able to give them away. We still have a weak offensive line that has not proved it can run block or protect the QB. We still have no other recievers on this squad that can consistently catch balls. This team without Tony Gonzales would be a contender for 0-16.

There's a part of me that would like to see the Chiefs go ahead and let Tony, LJ, and Waters go, then proceed to go to and win the Superbowl within 2 years.

In reality though, I have the same mentality with these guys as Denver should have with Cutler - You're under contract, shut up and play!

I'm getting really tired of his gas.

Love your work, Tony, but seriously, shut the **** up already. You're a future hall of famer, a multi-millionaire and will absolutely get a job as an analyst when you retire. Stop acting like you're a leper begging for change.

I have no problem with this for the simple fact that I know Tony will give the Chiefs 100% if he's not traded. He just needed to put this out there to keep his options open and allow the offers to come. There's nothing there about a demand, just making his wishes known. I hope we keep him. He's a great player and much more than "just a TE." He produces like a top flight WR and demands the kind of defensive attention a top flight WR does.
