THE DEAL IS DONE!

ROBERT AYERS' DEAL IS "DONE"

The Denver Broncos have been waiting exactly one week to sign both of their first round draft selections, and get them on the field for training camp. As of now, half of that objective is accomplished with defensive end/outside linebacker Robert Ayers wrapping up his deal.

"The deal is done," Ayers' agent Tony Agnone just told Fox31's Josina Anderson at 2:45pmMST.

"It's a 5 year deal," Agnone added.

The Broncos not only acquired the former Tennessee Volunteer with the 18th overall pick, Ayers was the only player they signed to address their needs in the front seven.

With the Broncos defense wrapping up last season with a 29th overall ranking after allowing an average of 374.6 yards per game, it was imperative for the club to get this deal done.

Ayers’ agent Tony Agnone was able to finalize a contract after in a “face-to-face meeting” with team representatives with his client in attendance.

Ayers’ camp thought they had a deal done with the Broncos last week Wednesday-just two days after Ayers was due to report to Dove Valley with the rest of the rookies, quarterbacks, and injured players last week Monday.

The next day FOX31 Sports was informed this initial deal had fallen apart.

Now the disconnect in the negotiations between the two sides are a thing of the past.

Several experts have already projected that Ayers will become a starter on the unit sooner rather than later based on his initial workouts with the club, his collegiate record, and the teams current player roster.

In 2008, Ayers exploded on the NFL radar his senior year when he became a starter at right end. Known as one of Tennessee’s most physically intimidating defenders, Ayers recorded 49 tackles, three sacks, and a team leading 15.5 tackles for losses. He also logged six pressures, and one interception that season.

Look guy I have hung out here for years and it is the coolest message board I have found because it is open topic and less a handful of idiots there are some really cool people here. It is well known that I am a Raiders fan and when visiting this site I ignore Chiefs biased posts because duh it is called CHIEFSPLANET.

I hang trash with those I know but if I have Raider related things I wish to talk about I go to a RAIDERS board. Do you really think anyone here gives two shits in a bucket that Denver signed its draft pick? One rival to another if you want to hang here remember where you are at.

And that's two more Bronco threads than need to be on the ****ing front page. We don't give a shit about Robert Ayers. At first it was kind of funny for you to post homer bullshit and everyone would **** with you and you'd get all defensive; but I and many other posters are just flat out sick and ****ing tired of hearing about the goddamn Broncos.

The only shit you could post about the Broncos that I will ever care about is more of their fails. I love Broncos fails. Like when they traded away their stud QB for a ****ing neckbeard. Or when their first round draft pick wants to retire and stop playing for your shit organization. And even the total ****ing Hindenburg that has been your 2009 Offseason is entertaining; I'm sick of hearing about it. I'm sick of logging in and seeing Bronco thread stacked on top of Bronco thread on this goddamn board.

****, Chiefs homers on this board are chastised and ridiculed; and yet you continue to post your homer bullshit like any of truly give two shits in a coffee can. Just ****ing stop. Do you see BuckingKaeding or RNR regurgitating annoying Chargers/Fade bullshit all day every day? **** no. Because they understand this is a CHIEFS board. If we want to hear late breaking Bronco news, one of our brethren will break that news to the board. Not ****ing you. Got it?

If you wanna hang around and add some insight every now and then...great. If you enjoy DC or the Media Center and want to engage in banter in either of those forums...that's OK. But stop posting Broncos news. Just ****ing quit.

that's right, and if you don't care, than brace yourself for the repercussions. Feel free to look at my history over there at the Mane, I'll be the first to admit, I met some cool people. Mostly because I was the best lil' poster I could be.

What's the over/under on how long it is until Ayers pulls a Jarvis Moss and retires?
