Niswanger's reign of terror ends

http://www.kansascity.com/sports/chi...y/1531813.html

Injury update on Niswanger, Albert

Haley said center Rudy Niswanger’s injured left knee was being examined Monday, and he is not expected to be available for the game at Jacksonville.

Although Wade Smith moved from left tackle and replaced Niswanger against San Diego, he may not play the position against Jacksonville. Haley said backup lineman Andy Alleman is a possibility to play, as well as a practice-squad player Darryl Harris.

“We have some center options, Wade being one of them,” Haley said.

Haley also said starting left tackle Branden Albert, who has missed the last two games because of an ankle injury, is expected to practice this week and be available for Jacksonville.

The only time Goff's been out of the line-up, N-dookie was inactive. Alleman filled in for Goff.

Ironic that this guy might get his chance the week that one of his fanboys, TFG, gets banned from the site.

Wasn't Wade at LT before Rudy got injured. That may explain some of Cassel's poor throws. Wade shit his pants at LT and when he was moved to center the fumes ****ed with Matt's eyes.

He got banned in DC. I don't think he did anything specifically against the rules, but there were a lot of people whining about the way he posted over there (which was considerably different than the way he posts over here). I don't have much sympathy for him, but it would have been nice if he'd been able to keep posting over here now that there's a chance that his boy might make the roster. It's probably just a temp ban so maybe he'll be back.

That's sort of what happened when DV finally opened his eyes and realized that Priest Holmes was a monster. For all we know the practice squad scrub could be the second-coming of Casey Wiggum...

I think Albert will get better as the year goes on. He got away with a lot of poor technique last year due to being a spread offense and especially because he played at a higher weight. At least we know he has the athleticism--he just needs to work on limiting the mistakes and working on consistent technique.

Smith can at least play average, whereas Niswanger is garbage at Center.

Alleman isn't a great guard, but he's a huge upgrade over Goff who is an abortion on almost every single play.

This o-line isn't going to be great. But I think it can be upgraded to serviceable if only Haley had the guts to put the right 5 on the field. I don't get it. Smith outplayed Niswanger on Sunday by miles. And Goff has been ****ing up all season long. I just don't get why it's taken him so long to make a move.

Smith played very well in the second half. A big reason Cassel had a clean pocket to work with for most of the half for the first time all season.

Alleman CANNOT play center. He's got back issues.

Hell, he had back spasms after playing GUARD against the Cowboys.

The guy has talent but he's never been healthy.
