When the season starts, it will be nearly a full year since Charles suffered the injury.

At that point, there shouldn't be any reason to transition him gradually.

He should be fully recovered and rehabbed and ready to go.

Same here If either Charles or Hillis start off slow and this guy has his yr '10' intensity he will fill the void nicely especially if Hillis starts off slow because Gray has more speed and wiggle.

Are you guys dense? The returners aren't the only ones on ST. Battle and Copper are huge on ST, and they never return it. Gray could fall into one of those roles. WTF are you guys saying he won't play ST?

OK...I watched the highlight reel and one thing came to mind, and that is even after I saw that this is from 2010. I noticed that alot of those highlights come from games against teams that weren't all that prolific defensively.

Having said that, anything that means the end of Thomas Jones and Jackie Battle makes me smile.

Gray can easily learn from Jamaal. I can see him on the field when Jamaal is on the sidelines. 5-7 carries a game for sure.

Great draft pick that far into the draft. He's got a second gear that he can really turn on the jets. I've got high hopes for him.

Don't look too much into it. I just believe he has a chance to make the team and make a contribution. With Hillis being on a one year deal, he'll get every opportunity to show if he can get the job done.

I like his skill-set as a HB and think he has a chance to become our number two(for next season), if he should really show he has what it takes. I realize he's a late round draft pick-this isn't my first dance, babe. Just rooting for a Chief draftee. Nothing more, nothing less.

He has the good advantage of being a running back. Easiest position at which to find a job in the NFL. The odds are far greater that he'll "make it" in this league than become a failure
