Name brand food items only.
Was thinking about this today. We buy a lot of off-brand items (I'm cheap) but have a few select things in which the generic doesn't match up.

Off the top of my head they are Ruffles chips, Ketchup and Litehouse Blue Cheese Dressing.

What about you?

It seems like most times I try generic, I get burned with an inferior product with quality or taste.

The ONLY things I'm pretty good with are the Health and Beauty stuff. I buy a lot of it from Wal-Mart at 20-40% less, sometimes more. I bought two bottles of cologne for $18 that were knockoffs of Hugo Boss Elements and Giorgio Armani Acqui di Gio and I've already had 3 women tell me I smelled nice.

Aspirin, bandaids, hand/body lotion, powder, Qtips all buy generic.

That is simply not true. The problem with Wal-Marts private label is they are continually bidding it out, so while one time a product may be good, three months later what appears to be the same product could be total crap.
