Jones, Bolton, Sneed, and Gay are gonna plant Tua six feet underground if we meet them in the playoffs. that’s your answer for miami’s passing attack. statistically, our defense is middle of the pack, but we have a bunch of guys that can end drives and games. that’s especially true when you consider patrick doesn’t let teams get seperation from us.

Everyone saying that if Tannehill played we would have lost can suck dick.

Willis was a run threat that Tannehill isn't. He hurt us a bunch of times with his feet and made us play different.

No one knows what Tannehill would have done and he may have been sacked 3 times greater than Willis.

As far as talent level + consistently winning + still room to get better?

Yes.

We can still just have a shit game and lose to anyone. But when KC loses, it's rarely about the opponent.

As we get further into the season that seems to happen less and less, though. Just from memory it seems we do that earlier in the season usually before we round into play-off shape.

Goes both ways too. Allen playing like dog crap for 2.5 games has to give Bills fans pause too.

The Dolphins and Eagles having a cream puff schedule has to give their fans pause. The Dolphins crowning jewel was beating a Bills team that had 9 starters out… by two points. The Eagles just lost to Heinicke.

Quite frankly, you nailed it. It’s a league of very flawed teams right now. Last year at this time the Chiefs were 5-4. I think the Bills were too. Then both the Chiefs and Bills got hot when it mattered. Mid season is where teams weather storms, not win championships.
.
I get your post, but when bringing up the Titans game for the Chiefs I counter with the Jets game for the Bills. They were without Hall and Wilson is a mistake prone 2nd year QB. Buffalo could not get past them. Every team has games they should have lost or lost a game they should have won. Tennessee is a bad matchup for KC and has been while Vrabel has been HC. KC always struggles with them.

If KC is the best team in the league, it’s a league of extremely flawed teams across the board including KC. It’s like being the tallest midget.
A miracle pick 6? It was tied 17-17 at the time with over 10 minutes left in the 4th. We went up 27-17 after driving the ball down are next possession. They had a late TD after going for it on 3 4th downs... It was a big play, but don't act we were doomed if they score and go up 24-17 or 20-17 there...

Oh, and if we had any resemblance of a kicker, and Skyy Moore catches a punt, we easily win the Colts game. We had a bad 1st quarter against the Raiders, and we had over 500 yards vs. the Titans. Not our best games, but victories.

How many seasons do they have to play before people stop lamenting over pointless regular season losses? Why must "best team" convos and what not always include "bUt ThEy LoSt To ThE cOlTs!!!" Are we still traumatized over pre-Mahomes playoff games?

Some of these games are like the NBA regular season, or baseball in June.... everyone knows they don't ****ing matter and even if most of the league is a dumpster fire, there's still a fine line between winning and losing.

If you want to evaluate teams, just look at when they face the best competition in the league, which is probably like 2-4 games at the most all season. The rest of it largely doesn't matter given small sample sizes and teams not being 100% focused, etc. And some teams like the Eagles have no quality wins, so gotta wait for the playoffs, probably.

Just stop talking about the ****ing Colts.

As of right now - yes. We're the best team. We don't have the most talented guys in a myriad of positions, but we have incredible depth, Patrick Mahomes, and Andy Reid.

We're ahead of schedule.

It would be perfectly understandable if we were just a good team with a new group of WRs and tons of youth starting on defense.

But we haven't peaked yet. Just keep getting better and we have a chance to go to our 3rd SB in 4 years.

It's the same thing every year with Reid and Mahomes. Up there with a handful of other teams. The Chiefs would be favored I think on a neutral field over every team except Buffalo, and who knows about that now.

But we were certainly better than Cinci last year, yet... (No, I am not over that loss yet.)
