I am not here to intervene in 3rd-grade playground tussles. I am not here to act as a go-btween when you can't get along with the other moderators.

From this point forward, all disputes will be moved to the "Petty Board Disputes" forum.

If you feel the need to start fights, do it there. Any more griefing or bickering in the main forum will result in a warning. The second offense will result in being either temporarily or permanently banned.

It is one month before the draft, free agency is in full swing, and OUR COUNTRYMEN ARE HALFWAY ACROSS THE WORLD GETTING SHOT AT.

Grow up and use this board for what it was intended - entertainment.

For everyone to have to live in fear now of Parker removing them from the BB for arguing would destroy the entire BB IMO. if some would like a family atmosphere, let them create a family forum... or a family board... the planet is the planet... it may have been something else at one time, but it isn't whatever this guy wants it to be now...

i may get banned for this, but if the planet is gonna be some tame wussy place liike this guy wants, i might as well get booted now 'cause i'll die of boredom anyway...

Thought about this one most of the morning. I can see where this is coming from based upon some of the major stuff that has happened. But to say "ALL DISPUTES" will be moved and people warned/banned? Where exactly is the line going to be drawn? There aren't very many posts on the planet where there is not some disputing with ideas. Whenever people interact with each other you are going to have disagreements. If they continue to discourse on that stubject, it could be defined by some as a dispute.

There is a need for Moderation - people do get carried away and cross lines. Problem is though, it is a fine line that can turn into censorship if one is not carefull. Not sure but I have gathered from what I've read, wasn't one of the reasons the Planet was created to give people a place where there weren't all the rules and restrictions that the Star BB was placing on them?

I love the Planet and the Mods do a great job. I just see a red flag with such a policy going into place.

Instead of just reading what I wrote and seeing the logic in it, you decided to attack me, and accuse me of censorship?

I'm not saying everyone has to think alike, or even that all people need to agree or "get along".

I'm talking about the "meet me in the parking lot after work" attitude that has once again reared it's head here.

See, there's this little thing we created called the IGNORE function, and I'm suggesting that people use it.

But let me spell it out a little bit better so that people can understand what I'm talking about:

I've gotten SEVERAL private messages over the past few weeks asking me to INTERCEDE on the part of a user because they can't get along with other MODS.

I won't do this.

I've seen SEVERAL instances in the past few days where certain people, who are for very good reasons are unpopular, have had RELEVANT threads hijacked.

If you don't like what someone else is saying, put them on IGNORE or leave them alone. It's that simple.

And if you're having trouble with one of us mods, you better realize that there's a VERY GOOD reason, because the mods here are more than fair for all of the shit they put up with.
