Oh Moore is safe and if we continue what we've been doing, then Matheny is ****ing safe .
Then next year when we come out of the gate looking like shit and wasting another year of these young rookies controllability, then Matheny might get axed. |

Anywho this is turning into a fun bunch and I’m just going to enjoy it. The old man and me are heading up Saturday for our yearly pilgrimage. Really looking forward to it. |

Keller saved his mlb career today. Maybe that's hyperbole but we've all seen him pitch in person and on tv - a bunch. I've seen the solid 6 or seven innings keller only to be pulled too late, I've seen keller get shelled early only to get pulled too late. We've all seen him get hit hard throughout the game and not get pulled. There's a reason he didn't get traded, he gets hit hard a lot. Especially when it's warm and he can't get it down. He did today. God loves him, but I do not.

The problem is in the majors. We've had a plethora of pitchers that have succeeded in the minors. Lacy is just garbage it seems. He's probably the worst draft pick in Royals history, considering he was the 3rd overall pick.

Jeff Granger and Jeff Austin also in consideration at this point. I don't know why the Royals decided to start him back at AA, when he's struggled so much with injuries and control. Even for them, that's hard to understand.

It’s not Lacy’s fault he’s hit 11 batters and walked 36 in only 25 IP.
It must be his pitching coach! / nightfyre |

The Royals clearly have a system wide deficiency in developing pitchers, specifically in the control department. And I am sure he is loving struggling like this. But yes, go ahead and give a 23 year old kid one of your juvenile nicknames. Punching down is unbecoming.

You are terribly mistaken if you think that the developmental problems are specifically isolated to the majors. All of our prospects took longer than expected to reach the show despite being older draftees. And none of them achieved, let alone exceeded projections.
