My daughter saw a picture of him at my parents' house (a re-print of the one I saw as a boy. His wedding picture) and said, "Look! That's him!" I asked what she meant, admittedly a little concerned, and she said, "He talks to me when I'm going to bed sometimes."

Well, I honestly think you should make an effort to A) Communicate with him. Obviously, he's appearing for a reason and B) Concentrate on keeping him around longer. There must be a way. You have a fantastic and rare opportunity to connect with the world beyond, Mr. Donger. Make the most of it.

I'm assuming that she's still an innocent? In other words, young enough that these types of initial reactions are indicative of the truthfulness of youth? |

I'll tell the short version of the one I've told before.
I lived in a rental house in the early 2000. The house just always gave me the willies...especially the basement. I was living pretty bare bones at the time. Anyway, one night I was awakened by a loud "rustling" noise....Imagine if someone were standing next to you with a fist full of plastic bags and a fist full of paper bags and was rattling them like antlers(deer fighting) or something. very loud. Anyway, I'd thought I'd seen it before in the night, but attributed it to "sleepy eyes"....but there it was, a large, black, 3D "shadow man" standing-leaning over the far side of my bed, but there was significant noise. I woke up angry...probably scared shitless, that turned to Fight instead of flight....and I yelled at it, something like "Get the Eff out of here!" type stuff. I immediately heard a loud crash, and then silence and I went back to sleep. The next morning, when I left for work, I noticed glass all over my yard. The north and east side attic(unfinished attic) windows were blown completely out of their frames....spread a long, long ways across the yard. There wasn't a leaf off of a tree, no rain, no storm, no wind. The house felt less "creepy" after that, but I bought a house and moved not long after.(coincidence). People at work revealed that it wasn't the first time that house was associated with odd stories. I'd have attributed it to a very realistic-intense dream if not for the very convincing broken glass, with NONE inside or in the frames. |

I asked her if he is scary and she said no. She and I are very similar creatures.

Good story Donger.
My granddad, who is having rapidly failing health has made a pact for years with some of my uncles that when he dies, if there is a way, he's going to try to do something to let them know he's there. I'd just assume be able to just go to his house and say hi for a while longer though. |

I would move out of that place faster than our right tackle gets out of the way of a defensive end. There is no way I would stay in a place with three dimensional, black, shadow men sneaking around my bed at night. Wow. FAX |
